Project description This project originally began as an idea for a required 8th-grade assignment. Although the proposal was ultimately rejected, the concept stayed with me and pushed me to think about how I could make a meaningful impact outside of a classroom requirement. I initially had to shift my focus, but the idea never fully went away.

During 9th grade, I decided to bring the project back to life. I designed and printed flyers and distributed them throughout my neighborhood to spread awareness. Soon after, donations began coming in steadily. What started as a collection of just 25 books grew to over 250 books within a three-month period. Seeing the community come together around this effort motivated me to continue expanding the project.

The next major challenge was figuring out how to ship the books to India. When we first visited a shipping store, we were quoted more than $25,000, which made the goal seem nearly impossible. Instead of giving up, we continued searching for alternatives and eventually found a shipping service that offered to send the books for $100 per box. This made it possible to move forward with the project.

We are still actively collecting books and working to send more donations. If you would like to support this project or contribute, please email me at zoravar5000@gmail.com. Flyer library
